HOLD UP: its mean slown down, or delay.....

example:

- I asked my tennis partner to hold up so i could tie my shoelace.

- The plane was held up for 1 hour, because of a snowstorm.

how much i learned and how much i will forget them...

i dont know how to use them and remeber them and i already tried to do it at everytime ..but never use new word at all ...

HOLD UP which it is my new word in my mind, the word is not new and its simple word in english, but the phrase is new for me...

because when i want to say something slow down , the WAIT seem easy to said from me all the time..

yeah, when i was talk to everyone for something to slown down, the first word in my mind, i am saying wait wait wait.......hahah never use HOLD UP..

but HOLD UP is slang of english whatever in English and Amarican or some other english langage countries.
