Last weekend, i went to a town along a brook surrounded by mountains. It is called Pingqiao in Wulong County just hundreds meters away from the newly-built express way. Some of my colleagues and friends had arrived there an hour before because i had to pick up one colleage in another town. The new express way was quite good. My car navigator kept reminding me of overspeeding though i thought to myself i should drive under the speed limit.

We arrived there at about 11:30 a.m. just in time for lunch. The host was my friend's friend. We sat around the table stairing at the country food with hungry eyes. The food was delicous and the host was enthusiastic.

After lunch, the host let us choose from one of the three:　to play majong, to go fishing  or to dig sweet potatoes. After rounds of grouping, four went to play majong, i  went fishing with other three with the host as our guide. The rest (mostly women) went digging sweet potatoes.

We went in a SUV along the rocky road up the mountains and finally got to the destination: a small pool surrounded by bamboos. We were taking out the  fishing rod when it began to rain, but not so heavily. My friends was reluctent while i decided to have a try. The bank of the pool was so steep and slippery that i nearly fell in the pool.  i thrushed the fishing line to the center of the pool, soon a fish began to bite, i pulled the line and got one small grass carp, i threw it back.As it rained more heavily, we had to pack and leave.

Minutes later we were back at the host's house in the town and joined other friends in the entertainment provided by the host. At this time the rain stopped .

We said thanks to the host and left for home.
