On Oct.28, we had no classes again. CMK and I went to the Olympic Park and saw the giant Bird’s Nest and the peculiar Water Cube, taking some photos. There were lots of people there and we didn’t go inside of them because we didn’t have enough time and the ticket was a little expensive(50 yuan for Bird’s Nest). In the afternoon, we learned paper cutting. It took 2 hours. Miss Li Mimi, young and pretty, taught us. She demonstrated all kinds of Chinese character Xi and patterns, but told us less about how to cut them step by step. My cuttings didn’t look so good, but I did them quickly.

It was a little cold in Beijing, especially when the wind blew. My face and legs were dry and flaking.

       On Oct. 29, we should have a paper cutting lesson , but I didn’t attend. CMK and I took a bus to visit the Military Museum. We saw many real things and pictures on show. I was amazed and shocked. My motherland had undergone so many sufferings. There was a long way to go to revitalize our motherland. Coming out of the Museum, we went to theChinese Century Altar. As not knowing the case, we had thought we needed to buy tickets, we didn’t go up to have a look. So we didn’t get the free photo album as we planned. The China Central Television Station was nearby and we walked past it. We hurried back to the underground market near Central University for Nationalities and found there were no such photo albums, either.
