How to choose a right way to the future?

We have to meet choice everyday and some of them is important. Sometimes, different choices will influence our whole life. However, do we really can make choice? How to choose a better way? If we make enough preparation, the the end will be promising. Is that true?
Now, I’m facing the choice. As the current year’s graduate, I want to hunt for a job. My boyfriend now is working in Changsha, and I want to follow him. However, my parents don’t agree and they prefer me working near home. Maybe I am selfish. I believe in love and I don’t want to give up. My friends say I am stupid because I choose him and broke my parent’s heart.
I feel helpless.

- Next year I will graduate too.I don't have boyfriend.My dad hopes me finding a job near home too.But he accepts I work far away from home in 3 years after I graduate.You can tell your parents you will come back home after several years.Or finding a place between your home and Changsha.Hope you having a good solution to it.Good luck!

- There is a saying that kids are kidnapped by the family love in China. Our parents are always make decisions for us, even after we are already adults. They make these decisions based on their experience of passed decades, in which the life was hard. The best thing for us,they think,is living a steady life. however, the steady life cannot suit us anymore. We need more than that. We hate the boring jobs. We cannot stand go through a day exactly alike yesterday.So, I think make them understand these things is important.You need to talk with them, with more patience. Let them know what you are thinking.
