Some argue that southern winter could be more unbearable than northern, but as a south southerner, winter in my hometown is merciful, and I didn’t have a down coat until I was going to university.  Although the southern piercing cold would cause a great suffering to get up in the morning, in my hometown, this miserable period doesn’t last long.

However, this winter is uncommonly warm, or rather, hot. Today’s highest temperature is 26 degree. 26 degree in January, and I wore a short sleeves and shorts when I was running. Three winter attempts have done so far to beat summer, unfortunately, none of them succeeded.  I should have seem this condition is normal since I have dwelled in this south place for a long time. The thing is, I just don’t enjoy the temperature fluctuations. I had packed my summer wears on one cold day, but brought them out again as weather returned to summer again. Next week, the fourth winter attempt will arrive, I just hope it can defeat that stubborn summer, so that I can wear my new winter boots.
