On the way from a train station to the nearest bus stop, I saw 3 beggars today. One of them dressed like a college student kneeling on the ground. There was a cardboard laying on the floor in front of him, saying that his father was seriously ill and he needed some money to buy train ticket. The second one was a disabled mid-age man. He only worn a pair of ragged dirty pants and laid on a linen bag on the ground. I noticed one of his trouser legs was empty. The third beggar was an elder about 65 years old. He came with a shabby bag in his hand and had some clothes in it. He stretched out his trembling hand to me and begged for money. I could not say no at that very time, so I gave him 5 RMB.
I don't know how you guys would deal with these situations. When I see these beggars, I feel very sad for them, and I really do. On one hand I want to give them some money and let them feel warm; on the other hand I am afraid that what I see is not real, but a hoax.
At present time, a lot of people make their livings by deceiving others' compassion. These types of news are widespread all over the internet. Weeks ago, A 32-year-old lady pretended to be a student to beg money around some campuses. I also saw a vedio bringing fraud to light a week ago. In the vedio, a lot of beggars disguised themselves to be handicapped, so that they could get money easier from other people.
Speaking of fraud, I think most of you might have discussed about whether you should lift up a strange elder who has fallen down on the floor. If you help him/her, you may be extorted a fortune. If you don't, you may be feel guilty for a very long time. It is so hard to make a right decision that some people even bought insurance for it. How ridiculous this is.
Anyway, may good people always be good, bad people get what they should get.
