I used to think that say no is an unrespectable thing. It means you don't have enough ability. What's more, the people who asked your help may think you didn't value the relationship with him. Thus it may damage to your connection and social contact. The relationship between you and your friends would be alienated. As I grow older, my thought changed. I find that it is very important to say no.
When I was in elementary school, my classmate borrowed money from me and gave back to me in public, asked me to prove him that he was a man of his word. Then he borrowed it again. He promised that he would return my money after several days. I didn't know how to say no, so I agreed. As a result, he didn't pay back my money as expected. Such incidents like this have occurred in my secondary school, too. And in college life, I lost my new umbrella because of this. I find it is very common and important to say no to others.
When you think you are not suitable for a task, you need to say no. When you think others' behaviors make you feel sick, just to say no. Besides, when you consider others may harm the interests of you, you need to say no. Say no is not an unrespectable thing. It could be thought as you are responsible for the collective results. So learn to say no to others.

- That was a set-up, "your friend" had already planed to suck more money from you. He isn't your friend, why should you help him? His bad behaviour will only result in no more friends and nobody trusts him as his low credibility. By saying NO to him is the best and effective way to stop him to rob you. Learn to say no is right because everyone will find the truth soon.
