<div>The relationship between knowledge and wisdom is a problem that people are always willing to talk about but can hardly figure out. Nevertheless, it is really related to people's study, education, life, science, technology and any other aspects.</div><div>Knowledge can be construed as the systematic cognition of the object facts in the nature world. But it is difficult to define wisdom. Although I consult various reference books, the explanations can hardly make me satisfied in that wisdom is always mixed up with capacity and intelligence.</div><div>Different from most of people, I recognize knowledge as the basis of wisdom, for I can't imagine that a person with wisdom is ignorant. Zhuge Liang, a symbol of wisdom, can use a stratagem of "bring the east wind" because he has an abundant of knowledge on astronomy and geography. The lost horse can bring back a herd of horses in that the old man knows the habits of horses very well. Thus Aristotle regarded wisdom as, in a sense, kind of knowledge.</div><div>However, it doesn't mean a person who has knowledge also has wisdom. An illiterate can understand the essence of a complicated problem. A philosophy professor may make silly mistakes when dealing with some simple things.</div><div>Confueins once said," Learning without thought is lost; thought without learning is perilous". Learning refers to gaining the knowledge. Thought might be considered as the usage of knowledge to form wisdom.</div><div>Knowledge can be possessed while wisdom can only be applied. Knowledge is acquired from the outside while wisdom comes from the inside inspiration. The more one accumulates, the more plentiful it becomes. The more one agglomerates wisdom, the more sublime it becomes. Lao-tzu once said," Those who are learning should accumulate their knowledge; Those who are seeking for 'Tao' should reduce their subjective consciousness,"</div><div>For people's intelligence, knowledge is divided according to different subjects. Knowledge is objective, consistent and logical while wisdom is subjective, individual and creative. Knowledge can not be judged justicial or evil. But wisdom can be either good or evil. Knowledge is finally inferred, summarized and put into use by wisdom.</div><div>Capacity is an application of wisdom in some concrete links. Intelligence can be taken as wisdom in narrow sense.</div><div>Actually, language can not generalize what wisdom is in that it also includes emotions, notions, virtue and an integration of comprehensive elements." A man with wisdom likes a fool." That's the highest level of wisdom. Thus we should have a clear conception that the artificial intelligence can take place of knowledge, capacity and intelligence, but it can never replace wisdom.</div>
