The moment that I will never forget

I always believe that a person may make some stupid mistakes when he or she does something at the first time. That’s proved to be true in my past 20 years. Of course, my first year in college is included. Although I had prepared for the coming of the embarrassing moment, when it really came, I was still shocked.
It happened on a Thursday night when I went to the room for individual study alone after dinner. There was only a boy standing beside me as I was waiting for the elevator. When the elevator came, the two of us walked in. I pushed the button ’six’ and waited. Nothing strange. However, as the door of the elevator slowly came to a close , it became darker and darker. Finally, I couldn’t see anything at all! It was totally dark in the elevator while my mind went blank. ‘What happend?’ muttered the boy, with a calm voice. To my surprise, the elevator still moved. I groped for my smart phone in the bag and turned on the flashlight in it, with my hands trembling uncontrollably. As I sighed when I saw the light of my smart phone, the boy said ‘The light of the elevator has broken down’, quietly and calmly, as if nothing had happened. I felt so ashamed for my fear and bewilderment. So I took a deep breath with an air of assurance. When the door opened, I rushed out of the elevator without another glimpse. Eventually I got to the classroom safely, but my heart still beat quickly. I couldn’t imagine how the boy would view me and how uncollected I was! - i also came across similar embarrassment, the sudden incident did not make him scared, what scared him is my action, which made me feel really awkward.

- Yes. The contrast of the calm of the guy and my nervous was what really awkward me. But I cannot stop wandering why these guy don't feel afraid in this stuation?

- Yes. I prentended that nothing had happened. It just haunted me a long time. But now I can causally share it with you just see it as a joke.

- I have to admit that I'm afraid of darkness. I took out the light. It's just my unconscious action,I guess.
