Yesterday is a special day, a day on which ten years ago China suffered a massive earthquake in its Wenchuan of Sichuan province.
Ten years ago, I was a primary school student. Young as I was, when watching the miserable pictures and hearing the appalling number of deaths, I felt sorrowful and could not help crying. Everywhere you could see was wreckage where used to be all kinds of buildings in which people lived and worked happily. The power of human is so weak when compared with the nature's. Tens of thousands of lives were claimed, and countless buildings were destroyed, which all happened in several minutes.
However, the power of human was underestimated. Our prime minister Wen Jiabao arrived at the disaster area in two hours and cheered the people up. People including army and volunteers from everywhere of China came to the disaster area to help with the rescue work. Donations varied from individuals to charities were made in the whole country. We all people united together to get over this disaster. At this very moment, the saying, "If one part of China has problems, help should come from eight other directions," was amplified.
Now, if you have a look at Sichuan, you will see beautiful buildings and happy people. Time will gradually cure the pain of people. Though the dead has gone, the living need to be strong. Remember, the beauty of life will never be destroyed by any disasters.

- Ten years ago, what I felt was similar to you. And what impressed me most was the spirit that our Chinese spread. I am very proud of ourselves. In my opinion, our country will be prosperous.

- Although the devastating disaster took people's lives or belongs, but it had no possibility taking away people's belief and sympathy, which buit up this peaceful and prosperous country.

- As a person experiencing the Earthquake, the videos posted by main social media on Weibo pages reminded me of the period of several months after the disaster happened. Every time I watched the videos, tears shed from my eyes in that more than 40,000 people, including almost 600 students died in our city.
