Recently, I have participated in various activities, including English Spelling Contest, English Speech Contest, English debating Contest and Food Cooking Contest. Although it takes me a host of time to participate and prepare for those activities, in my perspective, I do think I can get benefit from them.

Last Saturday, I and one members of the English Club went to the Nanjing Audit University to take part in the final English Debating Contest. We called a taxi to drive us there because the University is so far away from our campus, which costs us a sum of money. Considering that he and I are both unfamiliar with debates and lack experience, so we get there early in order to listen to a professional teacher's guidance. To our surprise, the teacher is rather talkative. The stipulated time for narrating rules about BP code in debating is around half an hour, but he lasted the narration for two hours. We were all starving to death and then he let us go to the canteen.

The Debating started at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. There were l two debates in total. From my aspect, the first debate tends to be much fiercer than the first one due to the increased experience from the first round among these debaters. I was not confident enough on account of my lacking understandings of some relevant knack. However, I was deeply impressed by a girl who played as a Deputy Opposition Leader. Her performance, as far as I am concerned, was regarded as perfect, especially given that she was only a freshman who majors in Architecture.

Seeing so wide the gasp between she and me, I think I should feel more burdens and make more progress.
