Recently I have been binge-watching Unnatural（非自然死亡）, a Japanese medical suspense serial, which focuses on the story that forensic experts（法医学者） staffing the Unnatural Death Investigation(UDI) work together to ascertain the true cause of death. On a personal note, it is worth watching. If you are a fan of Satomi Ishihara（石原里美）, then you must watch it. Provided that you are interested in suspense series like me, you absolutely can't miss Unnatural!

Now let me explain why I want to recommend this series to you. First and foremost, unlike other genres of TV series, Unnatural touches on forensic medicine, little known to numerous people. By definition, forensic medicine is a bridge course between law and medicine, thus providing scientific evidence for detecting crime and hearing civil or criminal cases. On account of this, the series is kind of like Detective Conan and Sherlock, exciting and appealing.

Meanwhile, it is universally acknowledged that forensic medicine is dreadful and bloody with dealing with bodies every day. However, the series reverses our traditional cognition by putting forward the idea that forensic medicine is a job for the future, which reminds me of another Japanese movie, Okuribito（入殓师）, telling the profession of undertaking. In reality, the advent of such series about obscure professions is needed in TV drama industry, which will help viewers learn more about things we don't know.

Another reason for recommendation is the hardworking forensic experts. Their work is dirty, dangerous, hard, strict, no holiday, no make-up and no marriage. All things being said, they spare no efforts to find out the truth through forensic medicine. Work and life may be hard, but they are always energetic and optimistic. This brings to mind that how many forensic experts are working hard in the world and how many of the rest are complaining about the boring job? Compared with forensic experts' pain, ordinary work's pain seems insignificant. Some people think that forensic experts are indifferent. On the contrary, they have to maintain rational and make the best judgment. Confronted with life and death, they are more sympathetic and therefore endeavor to do what they should do.

Besides, the series mirrors social problems thoroughly behind each case, such as inflammatory media, the abuse of power, disrespect for the right to work, sexual discrimination in work, campus violence and envy. It also brings the weakness and ignorance of human nature to light. On the whole, the series is warm and encouraging. You can find the coexistence of beauty and ugliness of human nature and will definitely be overwhelmed by it. On top of that, an excellent series must have a stirring theme song. Unnatural is no exception. On hearing Lemon, you can't resist playing the song many times.

All in all, this is the first Japanese series I have ever seen and the best. It reveals that the living need to find the answer and salvation, lay down rage and guilt and carry on to live with love and hope of the dead. In a word, Unnatural is highly recommended and I expect to exchange ideas with you.
