Throughout the history of cinema，too many first-rate novels have been adapted into second-rate movies such as Anna Karenina，The Great Gatsby，White Deer Plain and Norwegian Wood.Because film and literature are two different genres，and their model of human thinking are entirely different.In particular，the movie is limited to time and text so that the re-creation is limited in the face of the classic.So for many second-rate novels，directors especially genius directors have more creative spaces and it’s easier for them to create unprecedented masterpieces.
As far as I’m concerned，whether in the past，now or in the future，film adaptations will have been occupied the leading position all the time.

- As far as I am concerned, most of the adaptations have been disappointing to me, or maybe expectations for the original are too high.Because of the different expression way of film and literature, film adaptations couldn't be true to original.
So I only hope that adapters can make good changes.
