"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct to the other way—in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.”
In this blog,I'd like to recommend a novel to you,A Tale of Two Cities. It is a long historical novel written by the English writer Charles Dickens in the background of the French Revolution. The story links Paris to London. The writer developed the story around Dr. Alexandre Manette and Madame Defarge.
As a famous saying goes, hatred is painful, but hatred should be resolved with benevolence and humanity. The writer did not write the French Revolution directly, but it has created a revolution in the atmosphere, resolved the violence and reflected the humanitarian romance. Some people say, A Tale of Two Cities describes the story of two men and a woman, but as far as I am concerned, they didn't  understand what the author really means. In my opinion, the writer aimed at analysing the relationship between the great revolution and the people,he wanted to find the reasons of this revolution and the influence to people.

Literary creation in the context of history has to be danced in chains. So perhaps the author hopes to set the story through such a seemingly unrelated story to map the impact of the French revolution on the people. Hope to have more awareness of the author's intention!

I think literary creation is worthy of encouragement, but literary creation is based on historical reality.

You are right. Literary works are never just about telling a story. We need to dig into the author's intentions behind the story.
