December 5th is International Volunteering Days. Since 1985, when the United Nations announced the special day, tens of millions of people around the world have volunteered to help those in need. China now has 4.5 million registered volunteers who have provided more than 4.5 billion hours of volunteer work.
From what has been written above, we may reasonably arrive at the conclusion that more and more people devote themselves to volunteer work. As far as I'm concerned, volunteer work is well worth doing, here come some benefits of volunteering work.
First of all, there is no denying that volunteering work assists in improving skills, enriching knowledge and gaining recognition. What's more, it's a good opportunity for us to make and exploit contacts with different people. In addition, as we all know, "Who Are You" is an eternal theme in the world, we can find genuine self instead of imaginary self. For example, my friend had assumed that he would become a lawyer, but he changed his mind after volunteering work, education is more suitable to him actually. Last but not least, it goes without saying that we can broaden our horizons and improve ourselves.
All in all, it's beneficial for us to do volunteering work. Meantime, we should remember that action speaks louder than words.
