"Life, Death, Love - Which Would You Choose?"

The question which is put forward is thought-provoking. As soon as you finish the two books, you may find the suitable answer.

It tells a story about a 15-year-old girl named Dylan, who is unsatisfied with her life, died on the train on her way to her father. After her death, she climbed out of the train and met Tristan, her ferryman. Tristan took her to walk across the moor so as to help her go to heaven. In order to reach this goal, they have to wind through lofty mountains. What's more, they have to dodge the devils appearing everywhere at night except their safe house, which will be a shelter for them. During the journey, a precious sort of feeling appears between them--love.Nevertheless, there is a cruel fact they should face: when Dylan finishes the journey, there is not a chance for them to meet each other again. However, it is because her deep love of Tristan, alongside with the bravery and intelligence, brings her back to the moor. At the risk of disappearing forever, they break the moor law and return to the spot which the accident happened. They succeed in holding back from the verge of death and at the same time, both Dylan and Tristan have their new life in the real world.

Putting aside the love thing between them, we should think more about the gist of Ferryman:

  What's the purpose of ferrying?

  Who is exactly the ferryman?

Ferrying could be the only way for souls to pass through the moor, which gives them a chance to face the reality. Interestingly, the writer defines the moor as a reflection of Dylan's deep mind, so that there are many dialogues which attract us. Believe it or not, I am so deeply moved by the perseverance of Dylan that I cannot calm down for a long time.

So, the second question is coming. Who is the ferryman? Undoubtedly, both could be. The two times they spend on the moor show the redemption of life and soul. They are both benefited from each other. At the time they make the best to save another, they finish the process of saving themselves.

"I exist because you need me." Alongside the two aspects, what impress me as well is that people should be the men they really are. Tristan, a reflection of Dylan's mind, changes himself with the soul he takes. He doesn't know who he truly is, which is regretful for himself. Hence, we should know, take back and finally dominate ourselves.

Fortunately, there is something of moor that overlaps with the reality. Just move forward steadily, and never slow down. You will be the one you want.

Firstly, I want to answer the two questions that you have put forward in the article. Personally,I suppose that the purpose of ferrying is to give life another chance to begin again. As to the ferryman, I reckon that everyone in a person's life who may affect he or she including himself or herself can be the ferryman. After finishing your brief introduction of this book, I want to say that love is one of the most important elements which make life meaningful and love, is also the thing that makes death less dreadful. So if I had to make a choice at this moment, i would definitely choose love. Last of all, I'm really interested in this book now and i decide to read it in a short while. Thank you for introducing it to me.

I havn't read Ferryman. So, it could say you lead me to know a little about a new book. The question you mentioned at the beginning. Indeed, I thought deeply about it more than twice before knowing this book. From my perspective, now that we come to this world, we must to taste pain, grief and enjoy love's fragrance, life's sweet. In a word, don't be afraid.

To be honest, I haven't read this book. But in my opinion, I think both Dylan and Tristan in this book are ferryman. They used their kindness and bravery to send each other to the habitat of the soul.
Through your introduction, I began to ask myself a question: if fate is a lonely river, who will be the ferryman of my soul?

Thanks for your recommendation! I will add it to my reading list! And I'd like to answer the questions you put forward. Among life, death and love, I will choose life. For me, nothing is more important than life. As long as we live, we can find what is interesting in life. Then, what is the prupose of ferrying? Though I have seen The Ferryman by Zhang Jiajia, but I don't know the ending. Thereby, I cannot answer the question for the present. At last, I am  disposed to share you with my viewpoints after reading it!

I feel greatly happy that we hold the same point! Ferrymen, not only save the soul, but also themselves. In the novel, either of them two counts to each other. And love, as a precious sort of feeling, is vital in everyone's life. We should value it at the time it appears and never let it go.

Absolutely! As the old saying goes," misfortune might be a blessing in disguise." We all should value it for its appearance, and because of it, our life becomes more colourful and interesting. What do you think about it?

That's right! Everyone may have the experience of losing themselves, but what counts most is holding hard to your heart. We are both on the way of achieving the goal, and we will never give up.

Thanks for your commendation! Life is full of adventure and we should value every little thing appearing from it, including both happiness and misfortune. Furthermore, we are all on the way of pursuing love and we should never give up.

No wander that you said you had read the book in the bookstore for a whole day! I am really interested in this book by your genuine recommendation. Faced with the three choices- love ,death and life, I am encountered a dilemma. Love is an eternal topic not only in our compositions but in our real life, which can give people unimaginative courage to overcome obstacles. But life is the fundamental factor. Without life, we can't do anything.

Absolutely! As the old saying goes," a horse stumbles that has four legs." Despite the fact that we cannot own all of them, we can make efforts towards achieving them. On the way of pursuing the precious goals, we could also acquire them to some extent. We are all striving every nerve towards them.

''To be or not to be, this is a question." Everyone is bound to die one day, so don't worry. This is said by one of my favorite writers. Life is long, I wish you can find your own answer when problems come up and maybe you can recommend a more fun book next time.
