should college students hire cleaners?

Recently, it was reported in newspaper that six students who shared a dorm at a local university hired a cleaner to do laundry and cleaning once a week. And each of them paid for her 60 yuan a month.
At first, this news fairly shocked me. I do not think such practice should be allowed at colleges.
There is an old Chinese proverb,“一屋不扫，何以扫天下”， which means a man has to be practiced then he could be a big fish.If college students think laundry and cleaning as difficulties, they can never achieve good independence, they could not take good care of themselves, so I do not think they would make a career.
In another way, that they used their parent's hard-earned money in this way is shameful.
