Nowadays, it is common to find that many old classical TV plays get reproduced, some of which are even reproduced in several versions, such as the Story of the Stone. And recently, the new Meteor Garden has been brought into focus. It's a story about four rich handsome guys and a poor girl and it's very popular among young girls.

There is no consensus among the public concerning this phenomenon. Some people hold that it is good because it is beneficial to interpret the classics from new perspectives. At first, the audience will be tired of the old version after watching them many times, no matter how classical they are. What's more, young people are not familiar with the former actors and they would like to watch the plays acted by their favorite idols. However, others take an opposite side, because they argue that it is reasonless for the TV producers to reproduce so many similar TV plays. Instead, they should bring something new to the audience.

As far as I am concerned, it is not advisable that the TV producers reproduce these TV plays. To begin with, with the development of society and economy, people's preferences and pUrsuits are constantly changing. Some past works are no longer in line with current values and what used to be fashionable is now outmoded. Last but not least, instead of dwelling on the past, we should strive to create new classics.
