It is apparent that today’s college graduates are confronted with a job market with fierce competition. Even graduates from some top universities have difficulty in finding a job, let alone other students.

   Taking a close look into this phenomenon, we can easily find the main reasons as follows. First, there are limited positions in the market, but more and more college graduates are graduating each year because of national education policy. Second, with the economy increasingly depressed, many students have a harder time finding a job. Third, college students always have high expectation for jobs and want a high-paying job with good career prospects in the beginning, which makes job hunting more difficult.

   As far as I am concerned, as there is little we can do to change the macro-economic situation, we college students had better adjust ourselves to the challenge employment market. To begin with, we should study hard for further improvement in knowledge, experience and social skills to make ourselves more competitive. What’s more, it’s important to adopt a down-to-earth attitude in job hunting. In order to find a job in the future, it is time that effective means be taken for improving ourselves.
