On 14th May, a fragment of news that a captain saved all of the people in an airplane hit the headlines all over the media. The right windshield of Sichuan Airlines flight 3U 8633 suddenly cracked mid-flight, which was out of Chongqing to Lhasa full of 119 people including the crew and passengers.
The emergent moment happened at the altitude of 32,000ft, at which height, the plane itself encountered extremely dangerous problems, such as strong noise, malfunction of part of equipment and abrupt loss of pressure in the cockpit and cabin. At that time, the crew was preparing the breakfast for passengers. As soon as the windshield blew, the oxygen masks fell off the shelves overhead. Faced with the critical situation, the captain responded quickly to the circumstance and landed the plane safely in Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, composed and skilled, whose the heroic behavior won the praise worldwide.

Reported on 17th of this month, the captain and other crew members were awarded Sichuan May 4th Youth Medal.
