Recently, I read a book The Alchemist. This is a story of a Spanish teenager saitoago pursuit of a dream. He used to be a shepherd in his living countryside. But he gets the same dream twice both of the treasure in Egypt, therefore he decided to pursue a dream. Under the guidance of God, he left his hometown for Afica. On the way to the treasure, Santiago met the first man. He is an owner of crystal store who hired the boy for one year. A year later, he continued with his trip after he had enough money. On the road he met a man, he insisted on finding the truth of alchemy and encouraged Santiago to carry out his dream. They went through hard work and finally reached the oasis in the desert. On the way Santiago finds his true love there with a young woman called Fatima. The journey of finding seems to end here with this girl. However, the girl asks the boy continued to chase those dreams. And she will wait for him. After that Saintiago came to Giza and saw the beauty of the pyramids. Unexpectedly, fate played a joke on him. He finally ends up work to the personal legend and finds the treasure, not in Egypt but in Spain where he starts from.
The main theme recurs all through the novel "When a person really desires something, all the universe conspires to help that person to realize his dream" I believe it, although following dreams is really not easy, which needs courage, patience, and a sensitive heart, there are still so many people in the world trying to.
After reading the novel, I have a lot of feelings and experience. The only thing I know is that the road will continue to stretch under your feet as long as there is no end to life.
