Learning more from class or other sources
With the advent of the Internet and other technology, there are vast available resources for students, which triggers an intense discussion about whether students learn more from other sources than class. Some people think it is accessible Internet, not only makes students focus on more details rather than passively listen to a lecture in the classroom, but also helps these inquire abundant technology who are in the remote places. Others hold the view that teachers as initiators have the capacity to impart knowledge and supervise students to avoid going astray.
In my standpoint, both from class and other sources are beneficial for students to learn technology, widen their horizons and lay a foundation for their whole lives. On the one hand, teachers provide not only theoretical knowledge but also practical experience about life. In the conventional teaching and learning mode, they have more comprehensive understanding of students' advantages and disadvantages, which guarantees students can learn from the courses tailored to their needs. On the other hand, the Internet satisfies students' need of doing research by providing more details. Students can transfer passively listening in the classroom into actively conducting research. So, the two ways of learning play significant roles in study. At first, students should inquire most knowledge from teachers in class, and then look for other sources after class if necessary.
As for students, learning from class is still a main part in daily study. It's better to use Internet as a study tool.
