November 11th has become a special festival during recent years. This date is named Bachelor's Day with four characters of "1". Many young people will hold bachelor parties to have fun and some people choose to marry in this day to end their bachelor life. In 2009, Alibaba held the first Singles Day Shopping Festival on Taobao.com, and some manufacturers discounted their goods to earn more value of sales.

 The total amount generated in the sales this year is not yet know, but it will definitely set a record because with 13 hours it had exceeded 120.7 billion yuan, the total for the whole day last year. But we may suspect whether the date really represents the level of national consumption. In my opinion, the date can't truly represent it because some sellers in Taobao use clicking farming to increase their sales amount to cheat consumers. When we are shopping online we need to keep a cool head and be aware of it.

In this year, Singles Day shopping Festival not only discounts goods, but uses methods like deposit, inflation and coupon which dazzle consumers. Some consumers complained on online platforms and said the pre-sell scheme was too complex to understand. People say that they need to relearn mathematics and reading skills to figure out Taobao and Tmall's special offers in this year.

There is no doubt that Singles Day Shopping Festival stimulated national consumption and increase sellers' interests. I believe this festival will last many years.
