In recent years, more and more people travel abroad because of the improvement of people’s living standards. Although Chinese tourists contribute a lot to tourism in many countries, their bad behaviour makes them unpopular. As a result, uncivilized behaviour has been the social focus.
Many Chinese tourists talk in public places, drop litters everywhere and even scribble in tourist attractions when they are abroad. These behaviours have left bad impressions on local people, which may make local people think that all Chinese tourists are impolite and undisciplined. Worse still, such behaviour damage image of our motherland and is unfavourable for cultural communication.
So it is a must for every tourist to become civilized. As far as I am concerned, we should behave ourselves. Additionally, as a saying goes “when in Rome, do as Romans do”, so we should be aware of cultural differences and pay attention to not offend others. We cannot always know whether our behaviours are correct, but if we are cautious enough we can be a civilized tourist.
