Many years ago, a well-known English training institution set up a branch in my city.
Right from the start, they stated that every English learner would have an opportunity to have a class for free for the first time. So I went.
After the class had been finished, as soon as I went outside, I saw one of the foreign teachers I had met in the institution was waiting for a traffic light.
Wanting to have a conversation, I walked towards her.
Glancing at me scarily, the teacher hurried across the street.
As I followed her, she was walking so fast that I couldn't catch up with her or even have any chances of giving her a smile.
It was rather like a gangster chasing a woman just for robbery in the street. I was very disappointed by this.
A short while later, I turned a corner to go away with dismay.
I don't think it is necessary to have a student regarded as a dangerous person after class.
Instead of fearing blindly, the institution has the responsibility to tell all the foreign teachers they hire about how friendly Chinese students are and how safe this country is.
