Hot 7
14th of August, Wednesday typhoon
My favorite present, and also the only present I got yesterday is: you have been hired.
The ring call came without any notice in the morning. But the moment I picked up the phone and heard the sound of a man from another head, I could tell it’s Alan and I was caught by great thrill—I got it. Though the original sentence: are you available next Monday to visit us to talk about the salary, my understanding for this is: I have been hired by Spectrum.
“Can I understand it as I am hired?” I still wanted to get his confirm.
“Er,” probably hearing the excitement in my voice, he paused for a while before he continued, “you can say so. As Bill’s not in Guangzhou for this week and thus the meeting can only be scheduled on next Monday. Are you available at that time?”
“Of course.” What else would be my answer?
So, very likely I will start working from next Tuesday. Three month unemployment is to be ended finally. And this weekend, I may go to Hongkong with Lee.
Every moment in the past months I couldn’t help picturing how the weekends will be like after a busy working days. Can eat, drink, and go everywhere without worrying the purse. That’s cool. However, now, these weekends finally come (very likely), I can’t imagine the excitement I’ve pictured before, for now, it’s been replaced by another kind of upset.
Though employed, I still have another one two month that without income. How am I going to do before the pay day comes?
Lee may leave GZ and go for another new journey. Will I go with him? So how long I will work at this company which I have been working hard to get the offer?
…
Times knows.
Tasteoflife: Congratulations, buddy!
