Hey Dioenglish!
I must first apologize for my long absence. A lot has changed in my life since I was last on dioenglish.
I've been working for Wall Street English in Zhongguancun. It's a great school! I love working there. However, there are too many students. It's really difficult to remember the names of over one thousand students.
It's great to see students learn English at Wall Street! If they put in the time and work hard, they learn very quickly. It has given me more motivation to study Chinese.
I've been learning to speak, read, and write Chinese. It's such a difficult task. But I can do anything if I put my mind to it!
Anyways, it's good to be back. I missed you guys!

- South Park is hilarious, so is Wall Street. Although it is a great school, But to name it after a street where financial gangsters doing their deeds takes cliché to a whole 'nother level. However, despite my disfavor with this name, it is none the less reasonable. Since the tuition costs of the students are mainly supported by their parents, it is very important to name the school with something intelligible and memorable for those parents, maybe with something that's already in their vocabularies, and if it has an universally recognized value attached to it, it'll be a big plus. Now, Wall Street is a well known place among Chinese moms and dads, and it almost always appears in the news media accompanied with figures in millions and even billions of dollars. So they get the impression that Wall Street is where money lives, lots and lots of money lives. And the hidden line behind the school name is: By attending Wall Street School, students are getting themselves closer to their financial success. I have to admit it, these guys really knows how to promote their language coaching service.
Sorry if it's a bit off topic. I couldn't help but share this observation with you. And I can't stress it enough that I truly respect and appreciate what you are doing there, and I wish I could have the pleasure of knowing you better.

I was just talking about branding of companies with one of my classes today.
We discussed much of what you mentioned. In addition to that, we discussed the logo and use of the Statue of Liberty. A wise choice on behalf of the marketing department. It's as if students can attain more personal freedom through the improvement of their English.
Anyways, it's pretty funny how well branded things are. We discussed Nike and Apple today as well. Both very interesting backstories.

I'm not sure he knows how evil capitalism really is. Than again, he's a successful business person.
I assume, he idealizes America into a perfect little bubble. So Wall Street English sounded right in his ears. Or he could just be making a sick joke of it.
