No confidence of the Chinese furnishing

I bought a new house last year, got the key on last December , complete the furnishing things in the later 3 months. Until now, after about half of the year, i still could n’t live inside it wholeheartedly.

Why? 

The furnishing i bought spread some pungent smell until now, and the smell becomes more and more keen even choking after i get pregnant, or maybe because it comes to summer hot days. I have vomited 3 times since i get pregnant, and 2 times happened at the moment i getting inside the new house.

The smell seems come everywhere where in the new house, the cupboard in the kitchen,the table in the dinning room, the sofa in the living room, the wooden floor, the beds in the bedrooms, the wardrobe,, all the wooden made things! Especially the big wardrobe in the master bedroom, it gives out the smell very strong, many times, i have to close the door between the bedroom and living room, so that i can stay in the living room. While the furnishing i bought are not cheap thing, like the wardrobe, it costed me 4 thousand yuan. I bought in the famous Xiang He furnishing city, and the sales assured me that their products are all wooden made, and are safe.

My family doubt the release some harmful substances, like formaldehyde, benzene and other horrified chemical thing. We used the test paper  and find the formaldehyde content exceeds standard highly. I called the sales of the wardrobe, and he refused to return the goods. I have no way but planed to throw it out of my house, though it costed a lot, (sure i am not rich but only a office woman). My husband felt quite pity to throw, and at the beginning, he persuaded me to wait a while to let the smell release, and it would become better. But the smell is so unbearable, even most of relatives stand on my side, and think it would be quite harmful for the health, and it is too risky.

And comes another problem, if after i take the wardrobe out of the house, and the smell still lasts, what should i do? Throw out all the furnishing? And, eventually, i need furnishing in the house, but now, i really have no confidence of the civil products( or the products sold in China), even they have a nice Qualification. And many of us know some story about someone cost great money buying brand furnishing with certificates, and later find their family member got sick because of the indoor pollution.

I can’t belive them anymore, and can find no one to protest our surrounding.This is a sad thing.
