For a special reason, now I stay at home not go outside to work in the big city.

The person I would like to talk about in my home is my granny. And in fact, I had intention to write one article about my granny for a long time, but due to my laziness, I just write it down now.

The most of time I spend at home in a day is stay and chat with my granny, as my parents are busy with their field works always. Since I stayed at home, my granny seldom went to visit her good friends in the village, as she worries that I have no company at home and then feel bored.

My granny is eighty eight years old this year, and I like her, of course, she likes me so much too. My granny is a special and short and thin old woman, and in my eyes, she is a person of many stories. She experienced lots of things in her lifetime, she is scared to death, especially on the rainy as well as thundering day, because she ever suffered from the flooding day in the year of 1954, and in order to save life she even climbed to the high roof at that time. She therefore never forgot such shocking scene forever.

Most people in the village don’t like my granny, it is said that she is a mean person, as the saying goes: birds of a feather flock together. So perhaps it is that I have similar characterwith my granny. If not, why we could like each other very well? But I never thought that it is not a good thing with such character. And here I would like to take two things for example to show that the meaning of "mean".

The first thing is one day, a woman came to our home to want some water to drink. And at first my granny is unwillingness. She said the drinking water we need money to buy and have to have person to carry the barrel into home, besides, she well knew that at that period of time, my father hurt on the foot and couldn’t walk well, and my mother as a woman is a bit strenuous to carry a barrel water, but once she saw that the woman just brought a small bottle to contain the water, she is a bit relieved.

Another thing is that one guy came to pick up our melon with a bag, on seeing that my granny refused him and said the melons in the vegetable garden are still not ripe, it is wasteful to pick them up at the moment, then the guy hated my granny from then on.

Now do you still think my granny is a mean person?? From her I learnt one saying: 田干无流水，老了无人情。She is old enough, which causes she will consider more always than younger, we thus should understand her situation, right?

My granny is an interesting person indeed. For her, I still have lots of things to say.
