My granny said she would miss me very much if I go to work in the big city after this spring festival, and she would even cover herself with quilt on the bed to cry for missing me once in a while. On hearing this I don’t know how to comfort her, then said directly,” granny, everything will be ok, and take it easy, it just needs time to be accustomed to the situation that without me, and I will often call you and give you money to spend.’’ After that I added," do you like to go out with me then?'' From the expression on her face, I see she does have such desire in the heart, but she replied," I am old enough already, perhaps I will die on the road if I go.''

Now I am at home, it seems that my granny has a good mood every day, and I am great pleased to see she leads a quiet and happy life at the present. She ever said that I am a good junior who knows how to treat and respect the aged. And my coming to this home makes her feel relaxed in the heart, actually, I just take meals to her to eat every day and fetch warm water for her to bath except that I do nothing good for her at all.

Why my granny could live a long life to eighty eight years old now? I think we could know some secrets from her following words.

She said she doesn’t like to sleep in the day and after bathing at night, she will quickly go to bed, and will have a sound sleep till the next morning.

She said she likes walking and working, and she couldn't stay idle for doing nothing every day, it is possible that she was used to being busy before, now even she is old enough, she still grows kinds of gourds around the house, but this year she couldn’t do weeding any more due to no strength.

She always tries her best to help my parents to do work in order that lighten the burden of my parents, she does work like feeding the chickens and dog, she is always worried that they have no food to eat then are hungry and hard to grow up. Some heavy work she also helps to do, which leads that all her body is ached and she has to buy plasters for the cure. I persuaded her never to do such task next time, however, she will totally forget and still work as ever after recovering.

One time I ate a cucumber with her, I told," granny, you have to clear away the cucumber peel after eating, if not, parents will discover we eat a cucumber, and not a good sight to see the peel on the ground." then she said,"do you think I am a stupid person? I will do that, no need you to remind me.''  I never thought that she is still smart enough, that is far not match with her old age. hehe...

Everytime I saw the sense that my granny walks here and there to be busy with her work, I couldn’t help grinning in my heart, no doubt, I have to say the short old woman I like her very much.
