So I come back from outside the school after I finished something. Then I stayed a minute or two at the school gate to think if there was other things I would do.Yes,a minute or two,at the most.Nothing came to my mind,so I was about to come back in school when I was stopped by a sound ‘excuse me' all of a sudden.
‘Do you watch basketball games?',he asked.
I was surprised and have no idea of what I just heard.'what game?Is there a game in our school?'
‘Do you like basketball?Did you watch the NBA game this morning?'
I kind of figured out what was going on.
'No,I didn't.But I got the result.Miami Heat won by 2 points.'
'Oh,it is good. And how many points did James get?'
'I'm sorry I don't know this in detail. But there were 9 assists of him.The Big Three got 64 together.'
'Thank you.I like and support Miami Heat.'
'You are welcome.Glad that Heat won.'...
I would never be surprised if it was some other guy such as a strange student who had asked me the questions, who had wanted to get some information from my mouth. But it was our gatekeeper, about 40 years old who was at work.
On my way to dorm I still didn't believe I was seconds before asked by our guard with an age of more than 40 years.I didn't expect a person like him would love NBA,even Heat and James.
Absolutely I was wrong.I was totally wrong!Every single person has the right to love something.Everyone's hobby can mean a lot to himself and deserves respects of all others.I understand the game and Heat really mean something to him.
I am glad he loves NBA,happy for him of the win, ashamed of my prejudice, moved and inspired by the deep love for something.
It is my pleasure that I knew the result and did my part to help him.
It is a great honor for me.
