Something Needed to Be Recorded

Yesterday, one of my friends asked me to help him translate the abstract of his graduation paper. Unfamiliar with mechanic field, I am lack of numerous technical terms. So I try my best to translate it. Here, I shared it with you. Hope you can point out mistakes and maybe you can give me a better version, even we can discuss till getting the perfect version. This is the abstract of his thesis:
本文简要介绍了工业机器人的概念，发展，应用等，对其中一个重要分支（即机械手）的手臂升降和回转液压缸进行了设计，确定了机械手的坐标形式和自由度，确定了机械手的技术参数，同时，计算出了两个液压缸所需驱动力，对液压缸各主要零部件进行设计选择，并进行了相应校核，绘制了零件图和装配图，提高了绘图效率和构思能力。
The following is my translation version:
This paper briefly introduces the industrial robot from the aspects of concept, development, application etc. As to the one important branch (namely, manipulator), this paper designs the arm elevation and rotary hydraulic cylinder, determines coordinate forms and freedom degree of manipulator and defines the technical parameter of manipulator. Meanwhile, it calculates the driving force that two hydraulic cylinders need, designs and chooses the main components of hydraulic cylinder, makes the corresponding proofread and draws parts and assembly drawings to improve the efficiency of drawing and conception ability.
Then, do you have some good suggestions to make such a translation better and more specialized? If you have any opinion, don’t hesitate to tell me. 摘 要：秘书主要是指从事办公室程序性工作、协助领导处理行政事务，并为领导决策及实施提供服务的人员。秘书职业是一种具有综合性和辅助性特点的职业，秘书人员是社会组织的重要组成部分。秘书形象与社会组织形象、领导形象密切关联，因此秘书从业人员必须树立一种良好的形象意识。本文通过对秘书形象意识的界定、秘书形象意识的重要性、秘书形象意识塑造的方法三方面来简论秘书的形象意识。以此达到使秘书在注重自身修养的同时约束规范自己的行为，树立良好的秘书形象的目的。

On the Secretary Image Awareness
Abstract: a secretary mainly works on office procedural work, assists leaders to deal with administrative affairs and provides service for leaders’ decision-making and implementation. Secretary occupation is a kind of vocation with comprehensive and auxiliary characteristics. Secretarial staff is an important component of social organization. Secretary image is closely related to image of social organization and leadership image. Therefore, secretary employees must establish good image awareness. Based on definition of secretary image awareness, importance of secretary image awareness and molding of secretary image awareness this paper briefly discuss secretary’s image awareness to make secretary pay attention to self-cultivation. Meanwhile, it restricts and regulates their behaviors to establish good secretary image.
