I could not finish a single pull-up in high school till the PE teacher ordered us to do exercises for the physical test. From then on, I did some exercises in the domitory after class every night. In the first few days, I tried all my strength and could hardly hold on too long by finishing up only two-three pull-ups. There seemed to be no effective methods to improve that in a short time. Anyway with my roommmates, I exercised every night. Few weeks later, I found I was adequate to be over fifteen pull-ups which was enough for me to pass that test. It turned out I did almost twenty pull-ups in the test. 100, an ideal and surprising score I got. I knew I could do more than fifteen, and I got to understand the meaning of perseverance. As the hardwork accumulates to be a huge strength, I felt I was qualifed to be the one who can conquer something that I had never tried before.
