Developping Apps in Android is good job in China?

Hot 2948 views. 2013-6-15 16:31 | profession, Android, programs, English, contact

Dear Everyone,
I am a developer who devotes myself in writing programs. Anybody with same hobby or with same profession can contact with me. I love English and Japanese. Although I'm not English major. My major is Electronics and I need to read English programmatic manuals  everyday. Any with Japanese lovers can contact me also.
I find a android application developing job in shanghai pudong software park. to my disappointment, my work is just fix bugs everyday. to develop new apps is rare. innovation and creativity is fading away as the time flies. All contacts is just computer, programs, manuals, requests. How to change the situation is puzzled me every minutes. Occasionally, I write a blog in wiki to express my emotion.
Is  programmer a good position in today's society. Perhaps It's not. Just as freshman has fresh, be a developper sounds fascinating if do not know the situation. Work late is usual and pressure is so great that sudden death of programmer occurs every year.
gorgeous graphics of android device indeed attracts many layman. But  benefits are almost reaped by large IC manufactures, like samsung, broadcom, qualcomm, MTK, leadcore, spreadtrum. small mobile phone design house do not get much from it. Google the bellwether drags the mobile internet. all in all is just "drifting clouds".
Maybe, in China, only having relations with Communist may have a good "career". Through 3 years work let me see the world deeply. Skills is one thing, Relations is another.

I was a system analyst and office automation specialist few years ago and now I operate my own trading company. I have some experience in IT, therefore, I may be able to offer some advice here.

According to what you have written, you have enough English proficiency for this field. Furthermore, you appear to have the sufficient knowledge to develop applications independently or at least you can be part of a team to develop new applications. There is a huge demand for personnel for android applications everywhere. This demand cannot last very long so you would have to do something about it before the demand wanes.

Unfortunately, it appears you are being deliberately suppressed and not given a fair chance to utilize your abilities. Indeed, in China, you need to have the right connections to advance and knowledge appears to be secondary. In other words, you are in the right time, in the wrong place. I am sorry to hear that you are being wasted in menial work like bugs fixing.

In my opinion, you would not be able to succeed in such an unfair environment. Perhaps you can consider seeking opportunities in other countries. I know it is not easy but that appears to be the only path available to you at present.

No matter what happens, do not despair. Try to work out some way to make good use of yourself. Wish you the best.

I understand what you say , because i am also an engineer. But my major work is develop with arm controller. I agree with you if we want to do better we should have some relation with the government in china. But face the reality, do your best.
