July 2022

1 July
They said they withdrew for good will.
Actually they fear Ukrainians may kill.
They take the world they could cheat
And Ukraine they might easily defeat.
2 July
To keep fighting is a great victory.
Russia can't conquer this country.
Aggression can come to no good
As a danger of the neighborhood.
3 July
I would like to make noodles by hand.
This impulse I could hardly withstand.
Now we've flour and all kinds of tools.
Moreover I'm fully aware of the rules.
4 July
The labourer mowed roadside grass
This morning as I happened to pass.
I was greeted by the pleasant smell,
Much like that of orchids from a dell.
5 July

Garden’s been saturated with water.

Any more rain may really be a killer.

Arrives one downpour after another.

I must save vegetables as gardener.

6 July
Pumpkins are big enough for eating.
From now on I needn't go shopping.
There is bumper crop of cucumbers.
Potatoes can grow with few flowers.
7 July
I headed for school despite this rain,
Arming well from head to foot again.
I had to change my partly wet wear
For the dry as soon as I went there.
8 July
Johnson just resigns from Conservative head.
Former Japanese prime minister is shot dead.
For current Czar both are very pleasing news.
The two would be silent and could not accuse.

9 July

I headed for school in the sun.

This fiery heat I couldn’t shun.

Joyously I saw clouds overrun.

I burst out merrily:‘Well done.’

10 July

The so-called news don’t believe.

Most pieces are made to deceive.

We’re living in a world full of lies.

But the fact only a few recognize.

11 July
My right leg at last recovers again
After days of suffering a little pain.
My daily cycling may be the cause.
Anyhow I've no intention to pause.
12 July
I must harvest potatoes in the garden.
For several days no shower had fallen.
Then I would sow cabbage and radish.
I look forward to seeing them flourish.

13 July

Downpour did all plants great harm.

But to surroundings it added charm.

In sky appeared a splendid rainbow.

I really couldn’t help taking a photo.

14 July

Holes have showed in pot's side.

Let it continue to serve I decide.

The ware doesn't last as before.

Virtue seems rotten to the core.

15 July

Another one died before retirement.

I am glad to survive at the moment.

I suppose I'll live two more decades,

Keeping healthy in the future phase.

16 July

Fridge is really a useful device,

From this I cleared a lot of ice.

Putting it off,opening its doors,

Later I pulled out the drawers.

17 July

We would store long green beans.

We have to dine on the pumpkins,

Which now can be taken as meals.

That is the reason garden appeals.

18 July

I picked green beans the first time

When the plants are in their prime.

I weighed them and boiled a while.

Later into this fridge I went to pile.

19 July

The first sowing ended in failure.

The second try does really cheer.

I may have sown them too deep.

Now they can have fallen asleep.

20 July

I wait for the tomatoes getting red

In order to plant cabbages instead.

The pumpkin vines can not spread.

I'm to gain bumper harvest ahead.

21 July

Concealing all onion stalks with soil,

I wish harvest could repay hard toil.

I had noticed brother used to do so.

I consider it's time for me to follow.

22 July

I guess that hostess' teeth are fake.

Dentist could have made a mistake.

They're too large for her to conceal,

As if just for show not for any meal.

23 July

Season noodles with fried sauce.

And I may need no more course.

The meal is simple but delicious.

For this I write a doggerel verse.

24 July

In our garden dwell unwelcome guests.

They are snails usually taken for pests.

As soon as I discover them I would kill.

But they never flee and seem very still.

25 July

The mosquitoes plagued us at night.

Electric power failed to give us light.

I couldn't read The Woman in White,

Just listening without catching sight.

26 July

I build a temporary bed in corridor.

Mother suffers from kang no more.

And she can lie down there by day.

I don't believe it stands in the way.

27 July

The radish seedlings look quite strong.

So I started transplanting before long.

The cabbages must wait several days.

The tomatoes demand scorching rays.

28 July

Those wild plants have grown tall.

I could cut after Beginning of Fall.

We've almost run out of our fuels.

They are more useful than jewels.

29 July

Recently it's rained a great lot.

Some of pumpkins tend to rot.

It is a little late for me to spot.

A matter I could have thought!

30 July

With a Master degree, leaving the city,

She returned to her backward country.

Being appointed as the first Secretary,

She led villagers to overcome poverty.

31 July

We can't store pumpkins directly anyway.

Cooked pieces could be dried on fine day.

Then we needn't eat as before in a hurry.

The bumper crop will not make us worry.
