I like Mike Skinner, not just because of his songs or his voice or his handsome face, but also because of his special attitude towards life. I like the way he lives; I like the way he looks the world. He is so adorable!

 

He is not only a? pure genius, which I always secretly suspected, but also such a sensitive man, which might be related to the aforementioned quality. Such an odd fish in these times. Definitely, sometimes it feels he's coming to us from a distant time telling us some or other terrible truth in our words. Sort of prophetic. The very song "Everything is borrowed" sparked sort of a bit of optimism I've rarely felt with anything else. Such a peculiar man.

The thing I always love about Mike is that you never had to guess what his song was about beforehand in order for it to make sense. The narratives and sentiments in his songs were always beautifully clear, and the images simply but perfectly painted.
