today.i have received a mali of inquiry .the customer need 1000pcs of towel.he asked me about the CIF in the e-mail.what about CIF include?cost,insurance and frieght?this is my first time to compute the CIF to my customer,and no one can teach me in my company.So much thing i need to learn.And if i should attention something while make the quotation to the customer from Vietnam?Actually,this customer is my first foreign customer.wish everything will go well.Although i am a newbie about foreign trade,i will try my best.

- CIF calculation is a basic skill of a trading company employee. You are right, CIF includes cost, insurance and freight. You should add your own profit commission, for example 3%. It is better to tell the customer know that it is an approximate quotation and if the price is acceptable, you should re-check the exact costs and give the final exact price to the customer.
Due to the fact that customers often ask price and won't order, so you don't have to be too exact in your first quotation.
Trading company work can be quite interesting after you get to know the procedures, so go step by step. You can do it well.

- I knew little about foreign trade items as well before I starting the foreign trade work. I aways learn the foreign trade knowledge from internet all by my self,such as LC,DP and so on. It is important to cultivate you by yourself. Try it hard,and you can learn much knowledge from your endeavor.
