A Genius
I have a friend Change who does everything better than me, so I think he is probably a genius and I have to admit my inferiority.
Last night he told me he wasn’t a genius. The early bird catches the worm, what about the non-sleeping bird? Chang is a non-sleeping bird.
I get up to wash my hair, face and teeth, so does Change, but he listens to VoA or CNN to know what happened around the world, also improve listening ability without doubt. Before he goes to work, he already has one listening class more than me.
On the road to company, I buy my breakfast and look around, do does Change, but he listens to something such as Friends, Classics etc with his MP3.
In the company, he concentrates his mind on work to finish all work soon and then learns his English again. Of course it’s impossible to listen to something in the company, instead Change reads. He can’t learn English professionally because he has to work to support himself. At the same time, I have my breakfast slowly to read pop-up window of Tencent, Xunlei etc. Most of news is really meaningless and I’ve wasted my time.
Change knows what he wants and rarely chats with other people, not even to colleague besides him. I like chatting with my colleagues and the indulge myself into that kind of entertainment pleasure. Change can finish a lot of books only by toilet time. One chapter per day and soon a book is finished by him.
After work, I don’t know why I’m still staying in the company. If Change has things to do, He’ll finish them soon. If not, he will go home to get supper ready, have supper and shower, during the time of which he listens to BBC. After that, he can write something or read something under the reading lamp. When it’s near 11 o’clock, he’ll go to bed. He can even learn English in dream. Comparing with him, I’m ashamed to talk about myself now.
I know why he does everything better than me. It’s never too late to learn. I’ll catch up with him. Someone said learning English was really quick in English-speaking countries. I think environment isn’t supposed to be an excuse to stop us from learning. Some computer scientists can achieve a lot even before they own computer.
What’s more, I’m a cockbrain. Change always has a peaceful mind to make he learn things quickly.

We should be happy learning something. Nobody can think he is the best all over the world, even though he can say he is the best today; there is no guarantee for tomorrow. Hehe.

- After reading your words, I feel very ashamed about myself since I always develop lots of planning to study English, such as recite vocabulary, listen to BBC or something else, but never hold on to the last. Often lazy defeats determination. So my English is still just so-so. There're lots of people who study harder than we. So the only thing to avoid leaving behind is try our best to do. I should learn from both of you, too.
