the gifts from Saint Nicholas today

852 views. 2011-12-6 15:03

I had received a gift from our assistant,it's a little bag stuffed with sweet, chocolate and peanut. I'm inquisitive what's the day today. she smiled towards me and told me the gifts is from St.Nicholas. to be honest ,I know nothing about this day ,
she explained to me  at this day, the children will receive many gifts from their parents and relatives, the gifts e.g sweets and chocolates  can be put into a stocking and hidden somewhere in child's room. my feeling is it's so same with the Christmas eve.
I want to find more information about this day by google and found that it's the source of Christmas day which belongs to Europe.

Hehe. It's Christmas Day. When I was in US, i spent this festival in person. Quite intersting and memorable. Usually they put different gifts into a large stocking. I still keep it at home.

Interesting! I never heard of any Saint Nicholas. I only know Santa Claus, a bearded old man riding a sleigh with gifts to children. Anyway, I will be happy with whatever gift from whichever person

I prefer our traditional Festival, such as Spring Festival, Mid-Autumn Day.
I like the feeling of reunion with family.
