Nowadays, China is full of chicanery. This morning I got a call from a stranger who professed that she is from Yesmywine.com, Beijing-based. (Yesmywine.com is a wine enterprise, and I am one of their consumers). She told me that their company is holding an activity, and there are 200 lucky members drew out by the PC automatically. I am one of them so that I not only can get a twenty percent discount golden card, a series of L’Oreal skin care products which valued 1880 RMB, but also a 300 RMB chargeable cell phone card. All these are free. But I have to pay the packing, the courier and the taxes. It totally costs 298 RMB. She continued, “After you sign for the parcel, we will deliver you 4 pieces of beddings, and you no need to pay a cent”. What a temptation! Only pay for 298 Yuan and I can get so much in return. As she spoke out all my personal information so I thought it is true and I was kind of busy at work, then I said YES to her offers. The lady said she will send me a message about their activity and follow up the shipment.

After I hung up the phone, I suspected that it must be a fraud. Due to Yesmywine’s headquarters is in Shanghai, but not in Beijing. What’s more suspicious, it’s the gifts, there are nothing correlated with WINE! So I searched through the internet. The result is really shocking! There are many victims… The charlatans used some company’s name and consumer’s personal information to cheat on people. I made a phone call to Yesmywine to confirm the issue. They told me they don’t have any activities recently and reminded me to be careful because nowadays there are so many swindlers.   

Ridiculously, the lady sent me a message from her cell phone 13141326874 number and mentioned a 4006550087 number which I can dial for service. I tried out her cell phone member as well as the 400… ‘s. Unfortunately, I failed to contact with them albeit I had tried for times.

Yeah, from all the information, I can tell you that they are 100% imposters.

I was trying to call the GZ Central Intelligence Agency whether they are interested in catching sharks. Haha… But they are not. So I gave up.

It was so annoying; the lady shark woke me up from my siesta. You know, I was enjoying my sweet dream. I had no mood to talk to her, so I babbled “Are you sure your headquarters is in Beijing? Dear, you are not capable of cheating yet, when there is nothing causes my suspicions, and then you may enjoy a triumphal feast. There's still a long way to go”. Hehe… She hung up my phone immediately.

Remember, there is no free lunch in this world or you are going to be a victim… Be careful.
