A leader chooses and grows his team. You can all judge a leader by his subordinates, the way you judge a person by the people surrounding him..

Something must have been wrong. But logic isn't on my side, or common sense. Other attendants wasn't concerned on this matter. I don't know if it is my own issue. OMG!

I am not sure if I have this skin problem. We had a training this morning in the Meeting room. Just in no time when I was seated, I got the allergy. I blame the room for this. Something must have

My being happy with the transfer is an utter impossibility. And whoever worked on me for that has no right to share my happiness.Don't you do that.I wouldn't let a few teardrops escape for this reason
  • Onellamafarm: Is this part of your office shake up? Will you be forced to take a transfer? Our merger will be official Monday. Everyone is concerned. (6-29 11:18)

It's both good and bad regarding my transfer as an assistant to this department in the headquarter. The bosses are super nice. They smile back sincerely at our greetings. I will get real comfortable

I don't feel comfortable with my face.. What's been wrong? Was it because of the ficial products? 555.. I hope it's gonna be just fine..

My dress might be a bit short today, which goes against the unwitten rules. OMG. Not feeling comfortable as everything here reminds me that I might be lectured... 555
  • Onellamafarm: There is no written rules about dress lengths where I work. However, there are up to 3,000 men who would make you feel uncomfortable with their stares and unwanted attention. There are very few women (6-8 09:51)

A real quake is gonna present itself to us-some got promoted and some demoted. It's all about office politics, power and personal interests. The company survives not for profit but for the top rankers.[
  • Onellamafarm: I don't suppose it would make you feel ant better but it is the same every where. (6-8 09:42)
  • Jennsweetie: It's highly different in the case of A Chinese state-owned company.. (6-8 09:53)
  • Onellamafarm: Our company is getting ready to have a merger. We are all dreading it. We already had one merger and we did not fare that well. We have no reason to believe this time will be any better. They have jus (6-8 10:06)

It's my dream to have a 2/5 week- 2 days working and 5 days for relaxation. A Chinese doctor almost met my goal. He works on Mon, Wed and Friday, with OT of 2 hours Wed. night. but patients flock in
  • Raphaellin: Neat. I was wondering if the doctor was practicing Chinese traditional medicine or something else. Could you fill me in with details, Jenn (6-4 23:10)
  • Jennsweetie: yeah.. a traditional Chinese doctor.. maybe his prescriptions are effective.. people came flocking in.. (6-5 14:04)
  • Raphaellin: I can picture that, but still being a doctor takes great risks. (6-5 22:12)
  • Onellamafarm: I normally work 4 10 hour days so I get 3 days off. I couldn't survive with less hours unless I got paid a lot more. (6-5 10:08)
  • Jennsweetie: 3 days off... a flextime? I have no idea of the working environment in foreign countries.. (6-5 14:06)
  • Onellamafarm: Most businesses work 8 hour shifts 5 days a week. This accomadates three shifts a day. (6-6 07:47)

I'm all alone in the office. some of them take a day off to attend to their kids. Others take an early departure, leaving me alone right here. I cannot handle the empty office with no one to talk to
  • Tange: children's day, someone leave early for their kids (6-1 20:47)
  • Jennsweetie: they do.. and that's the only reason some of them didn't even show up.. (6-1 21:47)
  • Onellamafarm: I work in a cubical so I don't see the other workers to talk to them. It makes it lonely. We do have interoffice messaging that is like a live chat but silent. (6-3 10:24)
  • Jennsweetie: Sorry to hear that..but Cubical? May I ask what that is? (6-4 09:37)
  • Onellamafarm: We don't have our own offices but we have short walled off areas about five foot tall with no doors made of interlocking metal panels. (6-4 10:10)
  • Onellamafarm: A cubical is a work area with room for just a desk with a computer and a file cabinet or two. It is about 7 foot by 7 foot square. Your position in the company determines how much space you are allott (6-4 10:14)
  • Onellamafarm: I am surprised about Children's Day. We don't celebrate it here or at least it is not during the work week. (6-4 10:17)
  • Onellamafarm: If you don't have cubicals or walled off areas, do you work in an open office where you can see all the other office workers? (6-4 10:20)

Here comes the happy hour for the day - lunch time! When I was transferred to the headquarter, the only fun lies in intervals of a chat with others..otherwise full focus on tasks.. treat myself now
  • Onellamafarm: Our cafeteria is too small for all the people who work where I do. Most office workers eat in their cubicals, alone. We can get on the internet and read those sites the company has not blocked during (6-3 10:31)
