I take Line 2 to go to work everyday. Because it always arrives on schedule and takes far more less time to get to the desitination. For example, if i take buses to go to the office, i have to transfer two buses and spend almost one and a half hour to arrive my work place. Compare with the underground railways, three quarters minutes is enough for my steps' crossing out and in the doors. Apparently, it costs me much time if i take buses to go to work.
But things are always not the same, I took nearly two hours to go on that trip yesterday. Why? Because there was some technical mulfunction with the underground train Line 2, everyone had been delayed by this damned trouble. And line 2 has never been delayed for such a long time, though faults frequently occured (the longest delay i have met before was 20 minutes). Standing in the crowded carriage with hot air conditioning, customers became impatient. They took out their mobile phones, sending messages and making phone call to their bosses about the awkward situation they were facing.
The train driver frequently say some words to ease the customers through inner broadcasting. However, it didn't have any effect. Some customers began complaining. After getting stuck in the closed carriage for almost an hour, Eventually, the train started to go on working.
I was 50 minutes late for working at that morning.
What surprised me a lot is that when i arrived the office and openned my computer, the first news of that day in Tencent poping up on my screen was the event i had experienced just a moment ago. How fast the information spread! Due to the extensive influence on public, the underground railway operation company decided to give off the applogizing letters to the customers, In spite of this, it also return the ticket fare for having made unconvienent for the customers who took that train in the morning.
