An narrow escape

Hot 2704 views. 2017-10-9 16:24

Here I’d also like to tell you something very scary that happened in National day. Very scary, but also very exciting, very stunning, very impressive and very unforgettable, anything you might name it. When it happened, we were just leaving Shangri-la for home on a flight. Stared outside of the window, my son was grumbled something about the wrong choice of the seats. From this side, we couldn’t see the moon. It’s mid-festival and he had expected to observe the full moon in the flight.

Suddenly, a fireball, about the size of a basketball, roared through the sky with a long fire tail at an unbelievable speed and it headed directly to our plane! It was so bright that it lit up the sky outside. Time seemed to be frozen for this moment. My brain was dazzled with questions like: “Who I am? Where I am? What I am observing? “Or did my brain just go totally blank? Anyway, I was in a state of totally confusion.  It lasted several seconds, but it felt like an eternity. The unknown object finally brushed past one plane wing and disappeared in the darkness. “Oh, Dad, what the great seats you’ve chosen!” How great! Is that meteor? “My son’s voices finally draw me back into the reality and had confirmed that I had not imagined things. The meteor? The satellite propellant remains? Or UFO? Later we discussed hotly but no conclusion came out of it.

We didn’t find out what was happening until the very next morning from the newspaper. Asteroid collide with the earth….aerolite—explosion---such key words from the news reminded me how narrow escape we had just encountered. What if it actually hit the plane? It’s just so great to be still alive.

Thank goodness you are back safely. Some natural disasters that we can not foresee. They just come without warning. Anyway, you are okay. That is a good news.

Thank you for your care. I guess I'm lucky. After all, things like that don't happen every day.

You are fortunatly enough to watch the  great view and avoid the impact of meteor. I doubt that the flight not receive any notice of the meteor. That will be a big accident if any impace happened.  You have an unusual festival this year.
