Our family just came back from a six-day trip to Krabi, Thailand. Whenever I feel like getting stuck in a steady 9-to-5, travelling would become a great escape for me. Besides nothing can be more conciliatory than a beach holiday in such a gloomy, cold winter.

Like they say that the world is your oyster. You never know what’s inside if you don’t try to explore it deeper.

It was not the first time for me to visit Thailand. This time as soon as I arrived at Krabi, I could sense an obvious change there: China now has a much greater influence there than several years ago.

Most hotels had been decorated for Chinese New Year, a sign with”大众点评，好吃不贵“ could be seen at almost all the restaurants alongside the beach, Alipay and WeChat Pay was accepted like everywhere.

Krabi Resort, the first hotel we’d stayed, also had an exhibition stand to greet Chinese New Year. It looked like very Chinese with all this red layout and down FU character. However who could tell me what “ 新正如意“ means?

Tourists across the world rush into the harbor nearby. Everything is done with a great deal of hustle. Human activities have already brought great damages to the ocean here. Krabi Resort is said to have the best beach in Ao Nong, however, the water there is no long as clear as crystal. What a pity.

Fortunately, it still has the beautiful sunset. When the sun is gradually sinking down the ocean, you could see the flamboyant colors moving against the blue sky. All kinds of red, from shy pink to flaunting scarlet, cry out their presences and dance in the ocean with profound passions. They are so sensual that leaves you breathless.

My son soon indulged himself in his traditional beach activity: sand castle building. My husband enjoyed a lot in hotel’s swimming pool. As for me, I got lost in the feast of colors.

The first day in Krabi, everything was perfect.
