Taobao offers many one- day- tour to nearby islands. It’s convenient for many but not for us. For one thing, such tour usually starts from 7:00 am in the morning, and we don’t like to be early bird in holiday. Second, the charm of travelling is that it offers you exposure to the diversity and beauty of people and landscape. One of the key points of travelling is to meet people across the world, and to enjoy the scenic you want to see. So what’s fun for a tightly scheduled tour with people who come from the same country and spots being chosen for you?  

In fact, at the harbor just a few-minutes-walk from the hotel, you could buy the tickets to any island nearby. We chose Raily Beach as our first visit. 400 Bah for a round trip ticket. In the boat, we met a couple from England, a family from France, and another couple maybe from somewhere in European.

There was a very cute little girl, probably around 3 years old, in the French family. Her had that smile that could melt your heart. While my husband took pictures for us, she looked at him with such intense curiosity that made me laugh.

Raily Beach is not only known for its beautiful beach, but also for its cliffs and caves. It attracts many rock climbing fans. We spent a wonderful day here. My son just refused to leave the water, and I took some time to explore the whole island.

At many places, I saw sign with “No Feeding Monkeys”. However, until we left, I didn’t see any monkey.

Like a life with ups and downs, no travelling is perfect. The sunset yacht cruises in Krabi turned out to be a disappointment. The sunset was amazing but only last for about 15 minutes. The other activities, like snorkeling, BBQ were really not worthy of trying. Krabi didn’t have great places for snorkeling. Most waters there were polluted and not clear enough. And BBQ was cold because of strong wind after sunset.

Whatever, that’s the travelling. Complain less and learn to enjoy, no matter what.
