Dear Y2020:

     My dearest dear, I am so glad to finally, finally, finally meet you here. I know you are just a going on of Y2019, which means all the troubles, sufferings and hardship Y2019 had been in store for me would continue. Right now, you might rack up your brains to come up something new for me.

   Here, I decide to save you some troubles. Don’t try so hard to make my life miserable, because I’m going to do it for you.

   From today, I’m going to do one thing different every day, one thing makes me uncomfortable and drags me out of my comfort zone--- A little challenge each day. And I’m going to keep a record so you won’t be the only one to watch the defeated me, the frustrated me, the embarrassed me and the Me who wants the earth to crack open and swallow me up.

   You are gonna so love this game.

  Today, I decide to start it with an awkward, embarrassed trip to SPA. I haven’t gone to beauty salon since I lost all my hair. I hate to have my giant potato like head exposed to the others. I could image what it would be like once I took off my wig: all of the whispers, pointing fingers, and those transfixed faces.

   It’s going to be hard, but I will do it anyway. To make change, not only on New Year’s Day, but every day ever since.

  Those things that don’t kill you make you so much stronger.

  Y2020, wait for me, a better ME, stronger, smarter, braver and healthier.
