Spring is coming. My husband and I plan a go-out escape. We are going to be irresponsible parents for today and leave our son alone at home with his homework and his online classes. I could almost picture his irritated face all crumpled together when he found out our plan. To assuage his indignation and my guilty, I would order his favorite KFC take-out.

For most of the time, he could take care of himself. He is not that kind of boys who would skip lessons to play computer games. But he is also not that kind of students who would fully focus on his study and try his best to finish his homework. Sometimes he gets distracted and he doesn’t dig deep enough into his learning, which means he certainly needs some regulations and disciplines. But I guess I can give him some trust at least for today.

I have to. I am still on the waiting list and I don’t know the exact date for my surgery. But I guess it would be soon. In that case, he will be on his own, and he needs to learn to manage himself without his nagging mother by the side.

Besides, I really need to go out for some fresh air, to feast my eyes with beautiful flowers, to see the Spring coming, you know, to let off the steam.
