Big little lies 54: One of the hardest and important part of being a parent is one day you have to let him go. For Madeline, that day comes too soon. It doesn’t come naturally, and it is sort of being snapped, interrupted halfway by some outside forces.

Abigail isn’t too grown-up to need a mum hovering over her, she just prefers someone else to be her mum. What a huge blow to Madeline.

She’s trying her best to fix this relationship but whatever she’s doing is proven to be wrong. So frustrating.

Things have changed. People come and go. We rush through life from one chapter to the next, sometimes of our own accord, sometimes we simply have no choices. There are a lot of ‘goodbyes’, to people once so close to us, to a lifestyle we get used to, to our ruthless youth, sometimes even to our old identity, the one we like and have worked so hard to establish.
