Is me too old to change my position

Hot 2472 views. 2018-3-28 22:46 |Individual Classification:life

I was born at 1981 and 37 years old now . I used to change my work every 4~5 years in my 13 years experiences. I still think I'm a young man until I want to get a new position again.  I found most age requirement in my work areas is 25~40 . It means this maybe my last chance to change my position which make me anxious.  I always worked hard and love to learning all the knowledge in my work ares in the first 2~3 years,  then I will tried of  the work in the following days and want to change my position. In a word , I love fresh work and different knowledges but don't want to cost ten years or more to be an old expert in one position.
But now everything is changed, I has been a "mid-aged man" although I don't want to admit that.  Maybe I will get a new position or stay in my current  position  in my later life and tried to be an expert.  And what kind of job is suit for me to stick to in my later life?  I tried to learn knowledges in different areas in order to have more work opportunity but I don't know which direction is more suitable for me now.  A project manager, a design engineer or Quality engineer.   I prefer be a all-round person than a professional person.  so it seems that to be a project manager is better for me.
I hope to get a good position in 2018 and tried to be an expert in the position.
What do you think about the situation in my age.  Will you give me any suggestion?

good luck with your new position, I think 37 years old is the best age, experienced and mature.

probably you can be an expert while follow your passion to do something you love which make you fulfilled.

only if you use up your passion strengths and performance strengths, then you will be satisfied with what you have.

most jobs don't use our passion strengths, so we have to find it and use it in our free time, then we will feel true happiness.

good luck

Mid-life crisis, I can't be more familiar with. Of course we could learn from different jobs, and unless we've tried, we might never find the true calling of career. But there's always a time that we need to settle down. Besides, a rolling stone gathers no moss. Even in the same postition, we still have something to learn if we want.
