I had never been to Shanghai before I joined the work.

I clearly remembered my first time visited Shanghai, frankly speaking, it can’t define as a tour or a visit, it’s just a task of reception task.

In the morning, we began to leave Nanjing for Shanghai Pudong international airport to pick up Professor Frank who came from Germany.  It took our 4 hours to reach Pudong International airport by car.  Due to I never visited Shanghai before, I expected so much.  Indeed, we were on the way all day long, no skyscrapers, no Huangpu River and Oriental Pearl Tower, all I could see was the high-speed road, fast cars, and green plant. 

When we arrived at Pudong international airport, the weather was so shine, it’s in spring, and you could image how nice it was!

I took out the prepared paper with the Professor’s name on the exit of the Arrival.  It’s anxiety to wait for someone in case of he can’t find me, time passed by, a man with a big smile came to me, and gave his passport to me, just like “I am the person who you are waiting”.  Yes, it is. I was so excited, as you know, it’s my first time here, and everything in front of me was new.

Lunch time, three of us, me, Frank and driver went to a shop to order some fried noodle and rice, it’s delicious, but expensive. 

Well, after we picked up Professor Frank, my task was accomplished, and it’s time for us to go back, it’s a pity that I didn’t have time to visit Shanghai which the city appeals people from domestic and abroad.  Shanghai was still mysterious for me, like the magnetic pole of the earth, beckon me to come back.
